Recovering from System Crash - Q3:System Properties

"Windows created a temporary paging file on your computer
because of a paging file problem that occurred blah blah
blah"

So I go in and set it to Custom, 1000 (2000 max) and the
next time I start it's set to zero again. :-(

OK, so how do I fix this one??
