This is just making me mad i cant find any of my posts
listed about recovering files so sorry for the repeat.

I accidentally formatted my (d:) hard drive because i
forgot that the DOS prompt doesnt read NTFS file
systems...So now i have a major problem....all of my
backup files are gone and so are my originals. I know it
is possible to reover the files but i want peoples
opinion as to which software title i should get....price
should be around 50-100 dollars

So can anyone recomend good recovery software.

Sorry for the repeat post. I can search for my post and
find it their but when i browse for it in the actual list
pane i cant find it.

read the testimonials at the bottom and try the demo, if
it can recover them, then but it.

I find that Ontrack Easy Recovery Pro is excellent. However, it is not
inexpensive. I believe they will allow you to try before you buy and
the trial version will show you what you *could* recover if you have
the paid version. Remember, you don't want to do anything more on the
drive with the data that needs to be rescued. If you can't recover it
with consumer software, then the only answer is a professional data
recovery firm. I like Drive Savers (www.drivesavers.com, US phone
number 800-440-1904); but of course these type of services are quite
expensive, usually starting around $500.
