recovering document

I saved a document to a floppy and went to open it but it keeps saying that
it is causing serious errors in word. I did not save the document anywhere
else besides the floppy. Is there anyway I can recover it? Additionally, I
did try to copy or move it and it said it was unable to do that. Thanks for
all your help!!!!
 
You've probably already corrupted it by trying to open it from a floppy, but
before you do anything else, copy it from the floppy to the HD. If it still
won't open from there, try using the "Recover Text from Any File" setting in
Word's File Open dialog. If you have a recent version of Word, you can try
Open and Repair.
