Recovering Deleted Items

Something weird happened to my Outlook / Exchange 2000. I was trying to move
messages from Deleted Items folder back to my Inbox, but they're not moved
and I looked at my Deleted Items folder and the messages were gone. I tried
to search where the messages went but couldn't find them. I even opened my
Archive pst and they're not there.

Then I found that we can recover deleted items with Tools > Recover... but
the button is disabled on my Outlook. Can somebody tell me how to enable that
button? or is there any other way to get those deleted items back to my
Deleted Items folder or to my Inbox? Thank you.

This might help.
I would also do a search on your mailbox for 1 of the messages. That will
tell you if they just got moved to a different folder.
