I wiped my hard drive (long story) before backing up my data. I used a
recovery cd that recovered thousands of .cab files totalling 80 gig. When I
open the cab files (each has 10.7meg) I can't see any info at all. It's as
if there is nothing in them. How can I see the data? I'm looking for my IE8
favorites and "my documents". Can anyone help me??????

What software did you use to read these particular *.CAB files?
WinXP can read the contents of Windows CAB files, but some
other file formats write as CAB filetype although non-Windows.
