Last night I brought home a floppy disc with some spreadsheets to wor
on with my home PC. At home I use Excel 97 while at work I use Exce
2003. Now that I saved the new work on my home PC I cannot open th
disk on my work computer is there a way to recover this data.

Hi
NEVER open or save directly to a floppy disk. this causes file
corruptions (as you may have encounter right now).
ALWAYS work from your harddisk.

in your case try if Excel's 2003 recovery mechanism can help.
Alternatively you may download OpenOffice (www.openoffice.org). It's a
60MB download but OpenOffice seems to be able to recover corrupt Excel
files where Excel isn't able to do this

Try 'www.fdrlab.com' (http://www.fdrlab.com/repair.html)
They can recover corrupted Excel files (incuding password protected)
with all contained information, including comments, VBA, charts, links
etc.
