recovering a document I saved over

Is there a way I can revover my computer to an earlier day. So that it changes the documents back to the earlier day too
I saved over my file. An error messge came up saying the computer needed to reboot. It then asked me if I wanted to save changes to a document. I clicked yes and I accidently saved over the wrong file
I don't have a backup to the document
But I was wondering if I reboot my computer to an earlier day will it bring back my documents to the earlier day. I am not worried about loseing the work that I did the file. Just the work that I had before I reboot or restarted (better term) the computer

Nope, that documents a goner. Thats why you must always make sure.

Only if you have daily backups of your computer. Then you could restore from
the backup. Most corporate environments have such backup, few individual
users do.
