Recovered Messages Folder

So the other day I had a problem, I had a bad email stuck in my outbox. SO I
followed the steps below:

If you are not willing to just ignore them, the only way is to delete both
copies of the database (which does not contain the messages, but only
references to them) and let WinMail rebuild it. First close WinMail, then use
Task Manager to make sure there are no instances of it under applications or
processes.
Then click Start | Search | Advanced Search
Check the box to include non-indexed, hidden and system files.
In the Name field type WindowsMail.MSMessageStore and click the Search
button. It should show you two copies. Delete both of them and re-open
WinMail.
WinMail will work in the background and recover all of the messages that are
really there.

After doing this, everything pretty much rebuilt itself(missing a few
folders-and none of my old message rules work.

SOOOO now my problem is everytime I keep opening WM a NEW Recovered Messages
Folder is created (EVERY SINGLE TIME I OPEN WM). How do I stop this from
happening?

Also, I tried to move my recovered folder back into my NEW inbox, and
recreate my old message rules. When I reopen WM they go back into the
orginal Recovered Messages Folder.

One more problem, since deleting the WindowsMail.MSMessageStore folder. I
now have problems sending out emails. I use to be able to close WM and
reopen and the emails would send. IT no longer does that. SO for almost a
day I have not been able to send emails.

PLEASE HELP ME

As you have discovered, the so-called 'fixes' for Windows Mail (WM)
bugs can have undesired side effects.

You will be better off upgrading to Windows Live Mail:
http://get.live.com/betas/maildesktop_betas

It will automatically import all your WM emails, accounts, and settings.

I would call this more of a recommendation than an option. Even in Beta WLM
blows WM away in functionality.

In Recovered Messages there should be folders, like Inbox. Move the
messages, not the folders. Unless it's a folder that no longer exists, in
which case you can move the folder to Local Folders.

As I see it, you have four options:

1. Switch to Windows Live Mail (beta), which according to Microsoft
will replace Windows Mail.
2. Switch to a non-Microsoft free email client like Mozilla Thunderbird.
3. Switch to Microsoft Outlook (expensive).
4. Stay with WM and continue fighting its gremlins.
