Recover file

I've located the file created by autorecover on my
hardrive. The file extension is ASD. What does this
stand for? Also I cannot open the file. A window asks
me to change permissions in MS Word. I cannot find the
way to do this using the Help utility.

How do I bring this file back to My Documents?

You cannot open an .asd file. Only Word can do that, and it should do
it/have done it the next time you start(ed) Word.
