Recover Deleted Items Outlook 2003

I can't get the DumpsterAlywaysOn trick to work in
Outlook 2003. Is there a different way of implementing
this in the newer version?

are you certain you did not make the same typo in the registry key that you
made in this post? that key has always worked for me...
 
Oops. No I just typed it wrong in my post. Had it in the
registry correctly. Trusty reboot fixed it. Thanks.
 
the only time I couldn't get a registry key to work, it was because of a
typo, that's why I asked...I don't remember having to reboot to initialize
this one, but it's always a good thing to try...
 
sorry, I m not advanced users
I want to recover deleted items using UltraEdit (clearing 7 until 13 position) , but when run scanpst.exe to fix it
says can´t recognize the file pst and then It will not recover nothing
does somebody can help me ? thanks in advanc
 
finally I found my mistake, but I have a doubt
what happens if outlook store old mails in archive.pst ? the deleted mails go to it too
