recover crashed win2000

Thanks 2 all guys of the group 4 their excellent contribution.
How 2 recover win2000 like that achieve by 'pcrestor' in win98.
Is there any way ?plz reply if any recovery tool exist for built
in win2k CD or any other.Any hyperlink also appreciable.

Boot from the installation cd. After loading all drivers
known to man, the installation program should determine
that there is already a windows installation on the hard
drive. You will be presented a menu with a Repair option.
Do not, repeat do not choose this option. Continue on
until you find a 2nd Repair option. This option will re
run the hardware abstract layer and copy the appropriate
files for your hardware. This does a good job if a
hardware file has been corrupted.

Do not choose any option where you reinstall a fresh copy
of windows and reformat the drive. That will destroy all
your data.
