It is difficult to determine what you have dome from the garbled information
you have provided - but if you haven't saved a document there's nothing to
recover, and if you have saved over a document the original is lost. What
the relevance of Gateway's backup is I haven't a clue, but with any backup
system you have to invoke it for it to be of any use.
