Records not deleted. Data read only

When I tried to delete a record, I get this message: "Records not deleted.
Data read only"
 
How are you trying to delete the records? Do you get a Read Only message when
starting the database? Can more than one person be using the database at a
time?
 
I had a group by clause. Took it out and it worked.
