recording voice audio to place in Powerpointe

I am currently using Powerpoint 2003 and would now like to add my own
voice narration . I have reviewed past discussion links to see that there
is software that will read text, but my question is perhaps more fundamental.
What type of software do I purchase to record voice audio on my computer
that will be readily compatible with PP.
 
You can record narration right inside PowerPoint using the Slide Show |
Record Narration feature.

Having said that, if you still want to record the narrations outside
PowerPoint, you can use Audacity, a freeware sound editing program to do the
recording.
