Recording streaming audio?

What is easiest way to record the occasional Real Player streaming
sound clip that I get from BBC Interactive please? I have Goldwave for
example...

There is no easy way - or at least, those which exist are quite
dependent on your system. One approach which many prefer (I do) is
TotalRecorder, linked from my WWW site. Among its virtues is unattended
recording based on time. Another is that it can handle dropouts
seamlessly - i.e., without silent stretches - if you have set the buffer
appropriately.

Of course, that writes to the hard drive. Since you are posting in a
CD-recording newsgroup (among too many), if you want to write directly
to CD, try using packets and directing the output of TotalRecord to your
UDF disc.
