Google the group for that.

A question though.
You have to be playing the BBC programme - and then you press record -
and you can even set a timer to stop recording after half-an-hour -
but is there a way of recording without playing the programme?
I wondered if that might be quicker?
Maybe I haven't explained that well - what I mean is ... download the
BBC programme without actually playing it.
Does that make any sense?
I don't think that can be done, at least with this program. Is the BBC
event a live stream or a recorded event? If it is already recorded, then,
maybe you can download the the file in its original format, perhaps it is
a ".ram" (real audio" file..

I haven't succeeded in downloading the ra file.
I wonder if anyone has found out how to do it?
Here's a direct link to the BBC Listen Again site in case anyone would
be so kind as to have a go:

Have you tried Net Transport?

I tried this and it seemed to work for me. I only grabbed the first
few minutes but that worked. I first saved the .ram file to disk then
open this in notepad to get the URL for the .ra file. That's what I
dropped that into net transport. I think it can integrate with the
browser so there might be a more automatic way to do this. Net
transport will, I think, download flat out so it should not take as
long as playing and recording.

I went to http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/progs/listenagain.shtml
and right-clicked on "Prisoners of Albion" link
and opened that ram file in notepad.
The file was called fr1102.ram and its contents were:
rtsp://rmv8.bbc.net.uk/radio4/fri1102.ra?title="Friday_11am"&start="0:00"
Actually there was a funny character at the end of the string,
which hasn't shown up here.
I made a dummy html page containing that as a hyperlink
and then launched the page in IE
and right-clicked on the link
to try and save the ra file.
What did I do wrong?
I haven't tried that - but I did try getting the URL from the ram file -
but when I tried to download the ra file it didn't work.
Have BBC made it impossible?

sometimes streambox can't pick up a good url. in this case, get url
snooper. i dunno the url for it, but the the discussion group is:
http://pub25.ezboard.com/bstreemeboxvcr.
you run url snooper, then start the link. then stop snooper. it'll
have the correct link listed. right-click and you have the option to send
the link direct to
streamboxvcr.
