recording a song

When I play a song on youtube, i would like to record it to my computer.
How can i do that on vista without using an external program?

FWIW, if using FireFox, there's is an extension called DownloadHelper that
easily allows you to save many different types of media that are streamed
to the PC by just clicking on the added button in the toolbar.
