Record saving in table but not visible in form or subform

I've manipulated an existing database which already contained records. I have
added subforms to a main form. In form view, I see all of the records
previously in the database and can add my own record. However, when I go back
to view that record, it is not in the forms BUT is stored in the table. I
have already checked the 'Data Entry' button and 'No' is selected.

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

Claire C,

From your posting, I am assuming that you are adding the new record directly
in the table. If this is the case, you will have to "Reqery" your form
before the new record will be displayed.

I would suggest that you should enter the new record through your form and
not directly into the table. In Access tables are intended to simply hold
the data, while forms are intended to allow user interfact to the the data
for addubg abd editing of records.

Hi Mr B,

Thank you for your quick assistance. I clearly haven't explained myself
properly. Unfortunately, it is from the form that I am adding the record, not
the table.

Thanks, Claire

Claire,

Pardon me, but I guess I just do not understand. If you are adding the new
record to the form, it would already be in the form. You indicate that you
"go back".

Please provide a little more detail and perhaps someone can assist.
