I'm going to be reconfiguring ip on my network, I've got
a mixture of nt4.0, ibm aix, win2k server, and unix. Has
anyone run into major problems with redoing subnet's to
increase their address range? I really don't foresee any
real problems, but with computers anything is possible.
Any insight would be greatly appriciated.....

you could leave everything largely in place, and just change the subnet
mask. This will minimize the impact of the expansion. Some apps and
services, depending on the platform, may be hard coded and reconfiguration
may be very painful. By changing the subnets on the box, most of your work
is done at the routing level, instead of the machine level.

Thanks for the info. I'll keep that in mind. Hopefully
friday afternoon will be short and sweet..
