Recommend a newsgroup for hardware issues?

Got a laptop that won't respond to a known good DSL connection. Problem
existed before a fresh XP installation, so hardware's the likely issue. Can
anyone recommend a NG where I might find a few people as sharp as some of
the MVPs (and others) here?
