My Liteon 16x has worked very well for me in
the past year-and-a-half, and I would certainly
recommend it...

However, if Newegg shipped to Greece, I would
probably skip the option of a read-only drive and
spend the 97 bucks they are asking for a Liteon
DVD+R recorder.. A one-day-sale only, too, so
I thought it might be a good idea to bring this to the
ng's attention..

Thanks, for the tip. Last June, though, I bought ($148US) a
Panasonic SW-9571-CYY (Matsushita OEM) drive. It writes to
DVD-R/DVD-RW/DVD-RAM/CD-R/CD-RW and I've been quite pleased
with it, thus far; except, I still haven't used it much, yet.
