Recipients not receiving e-mail attachments

I am using Outlook 2000. Whenever I send an e-mail with an attachment, most
recipients do not get the attachment. It doesn't matter how what the
attachment is (i.e., word, excel, etc.) or how small. When the recipient
receives e-mail, they don't even know there is an attachment unless I mention
it in my e-mail.

Another person can send the exact same attachment to the same person and
that person will receive the attachment.

Currently, I have my e-mail set up as Microsoft Rich Text due to needing to
have a signature in my e-mail.

Can anyone help me on why this is happening?

Appreciate anyone's assistance with the above.

What kind of mail account are you using? Connecting to an Internet mail
account, or Exchange/internal mail server?

Another person on your same mail server?

Have you run Office Update to make sure your Office/Outlook is fully
patched?

Make sure you don't send in RIch Text format. Only other Outlook clients
can read it.
