Recipent list shows all

We are trying to send out a newsletter and are having problems with the
recipient list. We have created a distribution list. If we put it in the
"TO" field all names, but not email addresses, show up. If we put it into
the "BCC" the TO field is blank. How do we us the list and have only the
individual recipients name show in the TO field?

I use it few times a week. You create a Contact called "Recipient List
Supressed". I don't remember the details how to do it, but do a Google Group
search and you'll find it. Then you send it To: "Recipient List ....."
and put the name of your Distribution list into Bcc. That's it.

That's fine except the original poster (OP) wants each recipient's name
(and only their own name) to appear in the TO field. Your approach is
exactly how I would do it; but since the OP wants the names to appear in
the TO field a mail merge as Patricia suggested is really their only
option for mass mailing.
