Hi, I am new to faxing on the PC and I am unsure about recieving faxes. Do I
need to have the PC switched on to recieve or will the faxes be stored
elsewhere until I do switch on?
My PC is not usually on for long periods and I am worried that if it is off
I will not recieve incoming faxes.
Can any one help?

Using windows XP home edition and Hayes (CXT) CNXT v92x pci internal modem.
I have successfully sent faxes but not recieved replies.

The fax system only works if:

1) The PC is turned/powered on
2) Fax system is active and has been configured to receive faxes.

It does not work like the email system where you have an email box at some
Internet access provider's system.

However, you can "subscribe" to an Internet faxin service which would allow
your "faxes" to be treated as an email.
