Receover deleted/truncatred pst files from Outlook exchange

Hi,
I am trying to recover my lost pst files. This is what happened:
I have a personal folders in outlook. I was trying to move 3 folders
from the Personal Folders List to the "Mailbox" foolder (that contains
the Inbox, Sent Items, etc.). Of course, the 3 folders were too big in
size to fit under the mailbox. So while I expected and waited for
Outlook to prompt me with a warning saying the folders cannot fit due
to size, outlook actually shifted the 3 folders partially, i.e. it
truncated the folders shfiting only few emails instead of "all" or
"none". So I have incomplete folders in the "Mailbox" while these
fodlers have disappeared from the "Personal Folders".

I wanted to know if it is possible to recover these lost emails from
the folders that were neither shifted to the Mailbox, nor are retained
in the Personal Folders. I have an exchange server. I have already ran
the "inbox reapir utility", scanpst.exe but no use. I do have an old
"outlook.ost" but I could not open it and am not sure if it will have
any traces of my personal folders.

Any assistance will be apprecaited.
Thanks!

You moved from a pst-file to an Exchange mailbox and if the move failed.
This means that looking at Exchange (or the ost-file) for recovery is not
the way to go as the items were never stored there. If the move failed the
messages that haven't been moved should still be in the pst-file. If this is
not the case then something else must have happened as well and you'll need
to restore from backup.
