Recent Web Sites

Can anyone tell me where XP/Internet Explorer keeps its
list of recently visited web sites which gets displayed
when you open the dropdown box? Also is there any way to
delete selected entries?

right click
delete

Maybe we are talking about different lists. The third
line from the top of the Internet Explorer screen has the
word "Address" at the left and next to that is a box into
which you type the address of the site you want to go to.
At the right of the box is a dropdown symbol which when
left clicked on opens a list of sites recently visited.
When I right click on any of those items, nothing
happens. No options, like delete.
