Recent updates and restore points

Is anyone else having problems with restore points (even ones created with
recent update)? Also IE is hosed as to home page being changed and toolbar
completely altered?

IE effects might occur if you restored to a point where the system wasn't
operating as you wanted, or if you used an infected restore point.
