receiving emails

I have had no trouble w/Windows Mail until yesterday. Yesterday I started
getting the 'log in' box, and could not 'log in' with correct information and
receieve emails. I am w/Comcast, and running McAfee. The email scanning is
turned off in McAfee. The interesting thing is that I have a secondary
address through Comcast that is not in Mail, and that comes through fine when
I log on w/the info for that account. I can access both through web site.
Comcast was doing maintenance yesterday a.m. and told me that the problem
would be fixed by the afternoon. Any suggestions?

If no improvement after disabling antivirus email scanning:

Do a temporary uninstall of McAfee, followed by using their debris
removal tool:
http://service.mcafee.com/FAQDocument.aspx?id=TS100507
If that cures the problem, and you decide to replace McAfee, we can
recommend a free antivirus program which is more compatible with
Windows Mail:

Instead of uninstalling your antivirus, another option is to upgrade to
Windows Live Mail (WLM), which is more resistant to the adverse effects
of overly intrusive antivirus products: http://download.live.com/wlmail
