Receiving duplicate emails

I use Office 2000 on Windows XP and suddenly, starting last night, I'm
reciving at least 50 of each newsletter I subscribe to. Individual emails
come thru just fine, but newsletters come in the multitudes.

Any suggestions?

Thank you Richard but that post is for Outlook 2003 and I use Outlook 2000.
It doesn't work for mine. Any othe suggestions?

Here is something else I have found.

Many of the anti-virus programs that scan email can cause this issue as
well. When the messages are large, the software causes a 'timeout' to the
server before it sends back a flag that id's the message as being read. As a
result you recieve the message over and over.

Mine has always downloaded duplicates on every account when I restart
Outlook. OE never did that.

Neither the hotpatch nor the Service Pack fixed my problem.
