Receiving "could not load target dll" error upon startup

B

Bryan

Hello,

Does anyone know what the following error message means?

could not load target dll("C:\Program
Files\BackWeb\BackWeb Client\6.1.0.153
\Program\BackWeb.dll", error code 126)

It appears everytime I boot up but it doesn't seem to
affect any of my programs. I'd appreciate any advice on
how to fix it.

Thanks,
Bryan

Here is a response from MVP Purplehaz to a similar post on Backweb:

This is an auto update facility used by various computer and software
makers.
Some program you installed uses it.
See http://www.backweb.com/

You can probably find in msconfig
Start -- Run -- msconfig -- enter
Click Startup tab and look through listing
Uncheck the offending program
Click Apply
Click OK
Reboot and it should be gone
