Rebot and select proper boot device

Hello,

If I leave my computer running XP professional on overnight, sometimes I get
this erorr "Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in
selected boot device and press a key" Why am I getting this? What is the
cause? Any tips will be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Check your event logs for anything relevant...also, see what's still running
overnight when you've closed your apps.

It may be that your system is set to power off the hard drive after xxx idle time.
Go to Control Panel > Performance and Maintenance > Power Options Properties> the Power schemes tab.
