I need help, I don't know if my computer needs fixing by
a professional, or if I can do this myself. My computer
has been shutting down and restarting on it's own. I
don't have that message that would be the blaster worm, I
had that removed a couple of months ago. Now, it's just
shutting down without any warning repeatedly. Can anyone
help and direct me in which direction I should take. It
has been happening for a little over a week. I've tried
scanning for viruses, but my computer won't stay on long
enough for me to scan.

You undoubtedly still have viruses. Go into Safe Mode (hit F8 repeatedly
while the computer is booting and choose Safe Mode - without Networking
- from the menu you'll get) and scan with your av there. Your av
program needs to be using updated definitions. If you are unsure about
whether it is, download the definitions from the mftr.'s website from
another computer.

Something is causing a System Failure class error on the computer.

Open Control Panel - System - Advanced and click on the Settings
button in the Startup and Recovery (bottom) section.

In the Startup and Recovery window click on the checkbox for
"Automatically restart" to clear it. Then click on Apply and OK as
needed to exit.

That should put an end to the random restarts. However they may be
replaced by "Blue Screen Of Death" STOP errors and the computer may
then lock up, requiring you to manually power it off and then restart.

But the contents of the BSOD's will be a direct clue as to the
underlying cause of your problems. Post the information from the
STOP error messages including all of the parameters back here.

Good luck
