THis happend last week and I ended up reformatting and reinstalling xp. It's
happening again.

It's nfl football Sunday and I was in a nfl chat room, plus listening to a
webcast of a game, and on NFL.com checking out the various game scores
around the league.
Suddenly the computer reboots.
When it's done I try to check the scores on NFL.com and the computer reboots
again. Same thing every time it reboots and I try to check the scores.
This is the second Sunday in a row and I don't really feel like reformatting
and reinstalling again already.

Right click My Computer, Properties, Advanced, the under Startup and
Recovery "Settings" you can uncheck "Automatcally Restart"

When the problem happens again you will get an error screen or a Blue Screen
showing what might be causing the problem.

Post back with what the error screen shows.

I was checking through the Windows directory and in the 'Downloaded Program
Files' directory there were two entries for 'Java Runtime Environment 1.5.0'
I removed one of them and now everything works fine again.

Thanks. The problem seems to be fixed

I unchecked "Automatcally Restart." In case it happens again I'd like to see
the error message.

Thanks again,
Dale
