Reboots by it self

Every once in a while when I go into my computer or running some programs the
pc will shut down and restart.

That sure sounds frustrating.

One common cause is overheating. Open your case, clean the dust out,
and make sure your CPU fan is spinning.

Another cause could be a failing power supply.

Check to see if anything is logged in the Event Viewer:
Start -> Run -> eventvwr.msc

When it shuts down the sreen goes black like it was unplugged then restarts
like you push start button.
 
In control panel-- system--advanced--reset (uncheck) automatic restart after
system failure. This will allow
you to see the failure.
