Rebooting XP Home

Afterloading the 6 boot disks and formatting hard disk the following message
appears:
..SIF file is corrupted or missing
Value 0 on the line in section (source data files) with key 'SPI.cab'

Can anybody please explain

Is there a reason you are using floppys?
Why not just boot from the CD?

I had diskette capability but will try booting from CD, thanks.
