Reboot with no stop screen

I have an XP Home box; with 256 MB RAM 1150 MHz AMD CPU, RAM Tested out fine.
All of a sudden it will not boot into windows it just goes through the BIOS
cycle then briefly into the Windows XP startup screen (10 secs) then a flash
of the B.S.O.D. then reboot (again). I am not able to read the error message
as it flashes by so quickly.

I have tried:
1) Safe Mode, -Same result
2) Last known configuration, -Same result
3) Repair Windows. – When I get to the repair screen (second screen after
the EULA) I get NO option to “repairâ€, either “Install†or “Delete Partitionâ€.

I have used Micro2000’s Micro-Scope to test the Motherboard, memory Etc and
they show all is well with the hardware.

Any ideas?

Thanks

I have a similar problem with a new Dell Insprion! Dell sent a technician
today who changed the motherboard, but the problem persists. CAN ANYBODY TELL
US HOW TO STOP THIS?
