Reassociating Zip files

I installed a 3rd party zip tool to be able to unzip a .rar file. I didn't
like the software and uninstalled it. After uninstallation the darn software
didn't associate zip files back to Vista default. Now I can't double click on
a zipped file to bring up the zip manager and have to physically move the zip
file to my "Computer" to do anything with it.

Need some help to restore the default association to the original Vista zip
application.

Thanks,
Larry

Thanks,

Hi Larry,

Try running the command from an "elevated" Command Prompt. To open an elevated Command Prompt, click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator.

If that does not help, download and apply the .zip file association from here.
