Reassociate zip files

I have accidentally associate zip files to 'open with' the media player. When
I try to reassociate zip files with the extraction program, the option is not
available. I cannot right-click either and choose extract.
How do I reassociate?

Go to the Control Panel, Default Programs, Associate a file type or
protocol with a program. That should let you take it back to the other
association.

There is no program in there to associate it with. I tried to search for it
myself and have come up dry search through all the folders that appear.

I found this thanks to Scott in another thread. It worked for me:

"Start menu
Type "command" in the search box
Then right click on "Command Prompt" as is now shown above in the menu
and select "Run as Administrator"

In the command window type

assoc .zip=CompressedFolder

That will restore .zip files to their original Windows Explorer
associations."
