Reassigning drive letters

Can someone remind me how to change the drive letters for my CD and DVD
Burners? I've done this before successfully but now I can't remember where
the dialog is.

I thought it was in Control Panel/Administrative Services somewhere but I
can't find it now.

Right Click the Descriptor CD-ROM X, take Change Drive Letter

When I do that, I go into Device Manager. Under DVD/CD-ROM drives, I have my
DVD burner as one entry and my CD burner as the second entry. If I select
either entry and right click, the options I get are: Update driver; disable;
uninstall; scan for hardware changes; and Properties. There is no option for
"Change drive letter". I don't see anything in Properties that let's you
change the drive letter either.

I'm using XP Pro with SP1 installed and your suggestion doesn't work for
me....

There is simple workartound for this
Follow the following steps:-

Right click my computer ( it would be on the desktop or start-> mycomputer)
Click Manage --> this will open the Computer management Window
In computer manage window -> click on DISK MANAGEMENT -> ON THE RIGHT PANE
RIGHT CLICK YOU cd BURNER AND THEN SELECT cHANGE THE DRIVE LETTER

fOLLOW THE SAME STEPS FOR THE dvd Drive also

Right-click My Computer > Manage > Disk Management.
