Reappearing Spyware

Handelo

Hello,
I've recently discovered I had multiple spyware programs
on my system, and soo I've downloaded AntiSpyware, along
with 2 other programs of this sort. I managed to clean
all the threats, but one keeps comming back -
Spyware.Melkosoft . Now usually I just run a scan daily
and clean it out, because it does nothing (apparently) to
my system - but today was the highlight. After not
surfing the web or downloadgin anything yesterday, I
turned on the system today and found multiple spyware
programs, including 3 trojans, 4 browser hijackers and
one system hijacker. Is this Melkosoft spyware "inviting"
other programs to infest my system?? I cleaned them all
out, but I'm not sure how long it will be before they
come back... If Anyone has a solution to what I can do
besides format the drive, please respond here in the
forums or send me an e-mail at (e-mail address removed) .
Thanks in advance,
Handelo.

I did search the web for it - but it only found websites
with info on it and what anti-spyware programs to use -
which of course didn't help. I found no manual
instructions on how to remove it completely...

It is best to run the spyware removers from safe mode, also run the more
that once. Run them till the system comes up clean and use more that on
program, some find ones that others do not. I would use MS Anti-Spyware,
Ad-Aware and Spybot S&D.

I agree with Danny Kile--restart in safe mode. Set Microsoft Antispyware to
do a full scan rather than a quick Intelligent scan . Scan until a scan
comes through clean (i.e. probably twice.)

I would also recommend doing that same sequence with a good antivirus
application with current virus signatures.

Some spyware cannot be detected in Normal, run a scan in Safe Mode. Also its
beta, you still need to use third party software such as Adaware and Spybot.
And remember to manually check definitions, File > Check For Updates.
