Realtek 8187B PCI-E Wlan module

I recently bought one as an add-on for my small Acer Veriton platform. It was only cheap so I thought why not. Anyway inserted it by XP 64 will not detect it. Installed drivers and it's still not detected. The only network device present it the Gigabyte ethernet port.

I can't find anything on compatibility problems with this card as it seems to be very adapatable with all PCI-E interfaces

Any ideas peeps?
