RealPlayer video file

Hi everyone

I couldn't find a specific NG so hope that this will be OK!

I have XP Pro SP2 and RealPlayer version 10. I have downloaded the most up
to date codec. I have a .ram file which plays satisfactorily with
RealPlayer but, as it's a teaching clip, I'd like to slow the playback
speed. I haven't been able to find any settings within RealPlayer to do
this so wonder if I can "play" the clip using some other software which does
have the capability of slowing the playback speed? I know that I can't
simply change the file extension and when I tried to open it with Windows
Media Player, it wouldn't let me.

Is it possible to do what I want or will I simply have to play the clip over
and over and over in the hope that I see the details of the procedure that
is being taught?

Thanks for your time and patience.

You can try to convert it to a format that can be slowed down.

There is another player that plays Real files. It is known as "Real
Alternative" but I have not used it.

I thought WMP should directly play Real files. Didn't Microsoft buy Real
Networks?
