REALLY slow Win2K Pro

Does anyone know the likely cause of a Win2K Pro machine
slowing down after running fine for a period of time? A
reboot gets it back to normal, but before too long, the
CPU %age is pegging 100 again. Task Manager shows very
little CPU current usage to the System Idle process when
this happens. Very often it's msmngr32.exe or CSRSS.exe
that is hogging the CPU. Is this some sort of memory leak
that causes the software running to goof each other and
the OS up?

a) Check for virus
b) consider upgrade to Service Pack 4 (backup important stuff first)

if neither helps, feel free to post again on this thread
