Hi there,

I am really struggling with the "reviewers who just won't die" issue.
I have previously searched for information of how to ensure reviewers'
names don't show up in a final version of a document and found the
solution of dealing with any tracked changes and comments and then
checking "Remove personal info on save". This works for most files
I've come across, but I now have one where it doesn't. Whatever I do,
two reviewers' names pop up when I open the file and I don't want them
there. I have clicked "Next change" and am consistently told that the
document contains no tracked changes or comments. I'm using Windows XP
over a network, with the files saved in a folder on my desktop. Can
anyone shed any light?? TIA...

Cheers,
Michelle

Try saving the document in .RTF format, close it, then open it and re-save
it as a Word document.

The reviewers may not be in the document. Is one of them Allan Stratton?

Success! The doc to rtf to doc thing worked--thanks so much! :) We
really need this document to be clean so the recipient doesn't know
how much it was revised and by whom. I also found that pasting
everything over to a new file worked as well, but I lost the margins
and page numbering and stuff that way.

(I should have said in the original post--both the "reviewers" were
aliases of mine from two different computers. So in a sense, it was me
who wouldn't die.)

Cheers,
Michelle
