HI..
i have 2 problems with my microsoft antispyware app.
1. when i check the default window it says 2 of 3
realtime protection agents are active.
how do i get them all to work?

2. i've seen on another computer that you can run
something to get it to watch your internet explorer when
some program try to change your start adress from for
ex. www.google.com to http://thisisbullshit.com or some
other crap sites.

how do i get it to work properly ??

Which one is deactivated? System, Internet or Application. Click The
particular agent that does not have any check points enabled and click
activate check point.

For question 2, thats what Microsoft AntiSpyware does, so do most thirdparty
AntiSpyware utilities.

i have the exact same problem:

on the summary screen it says i have 1 0f 3 active, but
when i click on it it says theyre all active.
when i click on each agent it says its inactive and has a
button below it that says de-activate (doesnt really make
sense to deactivate something inactive does it). Also
clicking on these does absolutely nothing.

As Andre says theres alot of third party programs that
detect any changes in start addresses etc.. spy sweeper
works well on this as does spyware guard. The spyware
guards is free but spy sweeper does have a charge ,Id
also advise using spyware blaster to block known sites
that spread all this crap.

Spy Sweeper

SpywareBlaster...Install, click Download Latest
Protection Updates, Check for Updates, and then Enable
All Protection, then exit. It does a great job of
blocking known vulnerabilities as well as known malicious
websites.

I think spyware guard and spyware blaster are 2 great
free programs so you should give them a try to block
known sites that spread adware/trojans etc.. and to
detect any changes on your system
