Readyboost question.

Hi,

I picked up several 1GB usb flash devices for dirt cheap today (about $3.50
each on close out sale), and I stuck one of them into my machine, and it
apparently is readyboost capable and I set it up.

My question is, since I have several of these and I have 6 open USB ports on
the back of my computer, could I plug in 6 of them and have readyboost
utilize them or will readyboost only utilize one of them?

Also, if you use these for readyboost, can I end up just unplugging one of
them at some future point in time, and somehow erase whatever it is that
vista puts on them so that they can be used for other purposes?

That's a great price, especially for a fast drive.

You can only use ReadyBoost on one device at a time.

Yes, once the device is no longer being used for ReadyBoost you can erase
anything on it and use it for other purposes.

AFAIK currently only one RB device is supported.

Sure. RB cache is just a file in the root of the drive named
"ReadyBoost.sfcache".
