reads burned CD's nothing else

I have been having a problem w/ my CD drive. It will not read any discs
except ones that i have burned on it. won't even read games or the resource
CD's so I cannot even play them or run it.I have en tried to remove and
reinstall the drivers to no avail. "ANY" help would be appreciated.

Have you tried another drive? Yours may be failing. Fortunately, they
are cheap now.
