Reading Threads in Newsgroups - narrow screen

I'm not sure exactly what happened, but the thread screen in the middle of
each newsgroup is very narrow.

I have set my screen up to view only my threads as I have more questions
than answers. My thread screen was wider for awhile but now it's quite
narrow.

Pretty much all I can see is part of the subject, generally about 10
letters, how many posts there are - jammed up against the date which is
almost chopped off the edge on the right. There is no "expand" all threads,
page #, "Go", or arrow to the next page at the bottom of the screen. I tried
left clicking and holding the mouse on the line in the middle as it gave a
left to right arrow bar, but that didn't work - the question/answer message
screen on the left completely disappeared.

I have gone into other newsgroups and the thread screen is much wider - in
fact between the thread screen and the question/answer message screen I would
say that they are about equal.

Ideas???

You are accessing this newsgroup from the web interface which is the
worst, clunkiest way to do it. Instead, use a real newsreader. Here is
information to help you with that:

Since you are using the web interface, you may not realize that this is
really a Usenet newsgroup. You will get far more out of this resource
if you learn to use a newsreader. There are many good newsreaders for
Windows, but you can use Outlook Express since you already have it.
