Reading pane loads slowly with attachments

Hi,

I like the advantages that the reading pane offers me, and I do not want to
disable it. When I have anabled the reading pane and I receive an email with
an attachement, the mail takes ages to load in the reading pane. I have
noticed that, when an email with images is received, outlook provides an
option to "Download images" at the top of the email. This allows for the mail
to load faster in the reading pane. Is there such an option available where
the downloading of attachments is deffered in the reading pane.

I am already aware of the Security Option that you pointed out. But, it not
only the downloading of pictures that I want to prevent, but also attachments
that come along with the mail (be it a document, a ppt anything)
Is that possible?

I am already aware of the Security Option that you pointed out. I want to prevent NOT only pictures to be downloaded onto the reading pane, but also prevent other attachments (be it documetns. ppts etc) from being downloaded. Is that possible?

No. The best you could do is block the attachment type where you don't get
the temptation to open it.

Never hurts to ask. Just post it here with the type of account
(POP3/IMAP/HTTP/Exchange) you would like to see this with a basic
justification on what issue/problem this would resolve. I'll see that it
reaches the right inbox in MS.

The type of account I use in the office is Exchange. But, I think this issue
affects all accounts.

Issue: The Reading Pane hangs when trying to load a mail with a big
attachment. This poses a problem when one is scrolling through the mails -
you get stuck on the ones with attachments, as it takes a long time to load.

Possible Solution: Provide a "This mail has attachments. Click here to
download them" at the top of the mail.

Please let me know whether this is actually going to be considered.
