Read Receipts Not Returned

Idaho Word Man

When I use read receipts, I get a note if the recipient reads my message, but
not if they delete it without reading. I've tested it with friends who
deliberately delete notes, and nothing happens.

Is there a way to make sure I get the receipt?

No. It's at the recipient's discretion....
 
No, as support for it would depend on the client of the recipient and their
receipt settings. In addition any Junk E-mail Filter in between could delete
it.
 
It's just in-house company e-mail, so the recipient is using the same client
as I am. In one test it was just the girl in the next cubicle. I don't see
why a junk e-mail filter would filter out all of the "deleted without
reading" messages but would deliver all of the "your message was read"
messages. It is a puzzlement to me.
